Introduction to the Alumni Advisory Board
Advisory Board Purpose
The Alumni Advisory Board's purpose is to advise and support Dodge College in its strategic plan of:
- Enhancing alumni employment opportunities through networking, best practices, and skill building;
- Preparing students for the transition from college to career;
- Increasing the school’s reputation among film and media institutions;
- Strengthening the Dodge network for all alumni;
- Growing the College to Career initiative
Board Member Expectations
All Board Members will be expected to:
- Attend and provide input in biannual meetings;
- Support Alumni events by promoting, providing feedback and advice;
- Participate in the events;
- Identify individuals for the Distinguished Alumni Award;
- Develop strong working relationships with other Board members;
- Exercise loyalty towards the Board and confidentiality regarding its internal affairs as discussed at meetings
Biannual Meetings
Board Members can expect the following from the biannual meetings:
- DCFMA Alumni Relations will provide:
- Food and beverages;
- Agenda topics two-weeks prior;
- Timeline of
evening . - Minutes post-meeting
- University/College updates
- Board Member Expectations
- Attend one meeting per year at
minimum ; - Cover own travel cost;
- Provide input on agenda;
- Provide written input if unable to attend;
- Keep in contact with Alumni Relations Coordinator in between meetings
- Attend one meeting per year at
Expected Commitment
Board positions require a time and energy commitment that should not be underestimated. Applicants are urged to consider personal priorities for the next two years.
- Attend at least one meeting, held bi-annually in Fall and Spring semesters;
- Membership is voluntary and may be concluded at any time by either party;

Expected time commitment is 2-4 hours per month on average; -
Term of 2 years;

Please consider joining Dodge College, the Alumni Relations Coordinator, and the Career Advisor in this endeavor to support current and future alumni. To apply please complete the online application. Feel free to reach out to the Alumni Relations Coordinator with any questions.
- Faculty, staff, and alumni may nominate a member for an invitation;
- Alumni must apply for membership;
- Acceptance onto
board is based on skills, fit, commitment, and drive; - Fall 2019 deadline: August 1st
- There will be two waves of applications to sustain the two-year term

Yasu Tanida '01 was born in Tokyo and grew up in Orange County, just south of Los Angeles. He studied film at Chapman University where he won a Kodak Cinematography Award (2001). Yasu's work in indie film has won the John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award for "August Evening"(2007) and a SXSW Special Jury Prize for "The Retrieval"(2013). Along with shooting the first two seasons of "This Is Us", Yasu photographed the pilot episode of Dan Fogelman's critically acclaimed FOX series "Pitch". |

Rachel Skidmore '10 is the Vice President of Film and Television, where she expands Skybound’s IP into traditional mediums, and finds and vets new creators and IP to bring into the Skybound fold through film/TV adaptations. Recently she served as Co-Executive Producer on Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics for AMC. Rachel is known for her work as an Executive Producer on the first-ever scripted virtual reality series Gone, and the horror VR series based on the live-immersive play Delusion: Lies Within, both for Samsung VR. |

Kelly Galuska '06 graduated from the Chapman film school in 2006. She has written on staff on MOM on CBS, and is currently a writer and producer on BoJack Horseman and Big Mouth on Netflix. She has developed pilots with CBS, Sony and IFC, and is currently developing a pilot with FX. She was a part of the first class of the Humanitas New Voices program, and was nominated for a Writers Guild Award for one of her episodes of BoJack Horseman. |

Lauren Rose '05 currently serves as Sr. Manager, Live Action Short-form Content of Mattel Creations. In 2017, Lauren created and oversaw the production of almost 250 videos/500min that now have over 6.5 billion views on YouTube, including the wildly popular Barbie LIVE in the Dreamhouse. Prior to joining Mattel Playground Productions in 2009, Lauren worked in live action series and movie development at Intermedia Films. Lauren is a member of the Producers Guild of America, Women in Film, Women in Animation, ASIFA, and YouTube Certified among others. |
Christopher Borrelli '94 has been a Hollywood screenwriter since 2005 and has been hired for more than twenty film and television projects by such studios as Universal, MGM, FOX, Cartoon Network and Lionsgate, among others. In the past three years, he has written five separate features for New Line Cinema, including an adaption of 100 Bullets, based on the award winning Vertigo / DC series of graphic novels. Christopher has five completed films including The Vatican Tapes, Whisper and Eloise, with his latest film, Stranded, currently in post. |

Darren Bunkley '98 is a two-time Emmy Award-winning Producer with 20 years of experience in reality programming and scripted television. As Co-Executive Producer of The Amazing Race, Darren develops and executes on a detailed logistical production plan for the international reality competition series. First hired as a Field Producer and promoted to Country Producer and Supervising Producer prior to his current role, Darren now manages a staff of producers and oversees the operational movement of the entire production. |
Tashi Treiu '10 is a colorist and finishing artist who has worked on a wide range of projects including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Jungle Book, Sense8, Stranger Things, and Deadpool 2. In addition to working in Hollywood, Tashi is a adjunct faculty member at Chapman University and has served as guest lecturer internationally at Taipei National University of the Arts and the Doha Film Institute. Tashi is a co-author of Modern Post: Workflows and Techniques for Digital Filmmakers. His hobbies include travel photography and scuba diving |

Winsor Yuan '12 was born in Taipei, Taiwan and his family moved to Brandon, Mississippi the following year. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BBA and a BA in English in 2009 and an MBA in 2010. He graduated with an MFA in Producing from Chapman in 2012. After school, he worked as an Agent Trainee at UTA in the MP Lit Department until 2015. He then moved to work with Writer/Producer/Director Jared Stern and his company A Stern Talking To where he is currently Director of Development. |

Tom Ptasinski '08 is a festival award-winning director, screenwriter, filmmaker, and educator. Tom attended Dodge College receiving his BFA in Film Production with an emphasis in Directing. He has worked in development, production, and post-production for various features, commercials, and production companies such as David Foster Productions and The Dr. Phil Show. Tom has produced and directed several short films, including the NY Film Fest Best Picture winner, "A Good Brother." He has also written and script consulted on various feature projects, including unproduced the feature films "Watchers" and "Pasty Lee: Private Eye." |

Shane Hegeman '13 currently oversees Publicity and Promotions for Orion Pictures, a standalone theatrical marketing and distribution division of MGM. He was previously Director of Publicity & Promotions at BH Tilt, a division of Blumhouse Productions specializing in multi-platform genre releases. Prior to BH Tilt, he held the position of publicist at Sunshine Sachs where he worked on publicity campaigns for film, filmmakers, talent and special events. Shane graduated from Dodge College in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations & Advertising. |
