Bria Benton
Psychology major, Temple University (Japan)
"I decided to study abroad in Japan because it’s a country known for its art, hospitality,
and various traditions that I’ve always loved. As a low-income student working two
jobs, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity, as the Gilman Scholarship will
help me with flights, meals, and transportation."

Clio Brady '20
Sociology major, The Chinese University (Hong Kong)
"I applied for the Freeman-ASIA scholarship and received financial aid for my semester
abroad. Apply to lots of scholarships. There isn’t a limit on how much funding you
can receive. People want to award you money. They want to help you. Ask for it!"
