»Panther Analytics Access
Access to Panther Analytics is not automatic. Please read the instructions for
the area of reporting you are interested in to learn how to request access and what
is required before access can be granted.
At this time, only current staff and faculty may request access to Panther Analytics
reports.
Student Records
The Steps
- Read through the entirety of the Online Training for Student Records
- Sign the confirmation form
- (The Panther Analytics team will check for supervisor approval and FERPA completion)
- Wait for an email that your access is granted. Your role with the university determines which Student Records reports you can view.
The Details
Student Records reports include any reports with class schedule or student information. To request access to these reports or story boards, please begin by reading through the required Student Records Online Training. The Panther Analytics team will be notified when you sign the confirmation form near the end of the online document. Following this, we will request approval from your supervisor, and also verify that you have completed the FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) course from HR.
If your supervisor approves and if the FERPA course has been completed, you will be notified via email that you have been granted access.
Student Records reports are divided into summary and detail levels of information. Summary-level reports provide only class schedule information or student aggregates. Detail-level reports provide information associated with identifiable students. Your role with the university will determine which level of access you receive.
Finance
The Steps
- Have your supervisor/budget manager send the email described below.
- Your access to both PeopleSoft and Panther Analytics Finance is ready when the Service Desk ticket is resolved. Your supervisor/budget manager will receive that notification.
The Details
Finance reports in Panther Analytics require Finance chartfield security in PeopleSoft Finance. Your budget manager or supervisor will need to submit an email to servicedesk@chapman.edu requesting your access to chartfields that will be used for PeopleSoft Finance & Panther Analytics reporting.
The subject line should be: "PeopleSoft Finance Chartfield Security Access." The body of the email must provide the chartfield (department/program/project) numbers and account access (non-comp/student-comp/all-accounts) that you will be given access to.
If you already have access to reports in PeopleSoft Finance but not Panther Analytics, write to servicedesk@chapman.edu with the subject line: "Panther Analytics Finance access," and use the body of the email to explain that you already have finance chartfields and need only Panther Analytics Finance.
