Chapman CSD graduate students provide no-cost assessment and treatment of children with speech and language disorders in Orange County.

Under supervision of a Chapman Faculty members, student clinicians provide both group and individual speech and language therapy to Down Syndrome (DS) students who are homeschooled.  Every Monday when the DS students attend Community Day at the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County (DSAOC), they participate in various programs such as art, karate, dance, etc.  allowing them time to interact with their peers.  During Chapman’s Communication Corner the DS students participate for 90 minutes in small and large group language and social skill activities as well as receiving individual speech/language sessions based on their individualized goals.
