Biography

Dr. Bach received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from California State University, Fullerton, and subsequently earned a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA. He completed his postgraduate residency training in Community Pharmacy Practice at the University of Southern California (USC), where he gained experience by offering clinical pharmacy services in a community pharmacy-based physician clinic and an independent community pharmacy. During his residency at USC, Dr. Bach also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice for the USC School of Pharmacy and obtained a teaching certificate.
 
After completing his residency, Dr. Bach worked as a clinical pharmacist at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RR-UCLA). At RR-UCLA, his responsibilities included managing the medication reconciliation process to ensure the accurate communication of patient medication information and prevent errors during care transitions.
 
Currently, Dr. Bach is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Chapman University’s School of Pharmacy (CUSP), where he coordinates and teaches courses in non-sterile compounding, self-care, travel medicine, and ambulatory care rotations. His research focuses on implementation sciences within the community pharmacy and ambulatory care setting, particularly methods that promote the systematic integration of research, practice, and policy into routine healthcare delivery to enhance overall health outcomes.
 
He practices ambulatory care with the Providence Medical Foundation – St. Joseph Heritage Health System, collaborating with primary care physicians to manage chronic disease states. Additionally, he works at a community pharmacy in Newport Beach, providing immunization, travel health, and medication therapy management services.
 
Research Interests

His research interests are in the areas of outcomes from community and ambulatory pharmacist services, effective patient care and business management models, and the implementation and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services in a community and ambulatory setting.
