- National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP) — Are you planning to pursue a graduate research-based master's and doctoral degrees
in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM Education in
2025? The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship can provide a three-year annual stipend of $37,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education
allowance for tuition and fees (paid to the institution), as well as access to opportunities

- Biology Student Travel Awards — The Biology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a
limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting
original biological research results at discipline-specific regional or national meetings
in Fall 2024. Award recipients must acknowledge CUR for supporting their travel in
their talk or poster. Students from traditionally underrepresented groups are encouraged
to apply. Deadline: Wednesday, October 9, 2024
- Social Sciences Undergraduate Conference Awards — The Social Sciences Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) offers
a limited number of grants—up to $400 each—for undergraduate students who present
their research findings at a national or international, discipline-specific conference
(either in person or virtually) during the 2024-2025 academic year. Students of any
undergraduate grade may apply providing that their research is within the social sciences. Deadline: October 31, 2024
- Psychology Student Awards — The CUR Psychology Division is offering a limited number of awards for undergraduate
students conducting original psychological research. These awards, up to $400 per
project, can be used for research-related expenses (such as supplies) or presentation
costs (like travel and conference registration). Student must be an undergraduate;
if the student is a graduating fourth-year student, the presentation must be completed
within three months of fall graduation or by June 15 for spring graduates. Deadline: November 1, 2024
- Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program — Do you want to learn a new language next summer while living in foreign country? Then
the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is for you! CLS is an intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for
American undergraduate and graduate students. Each summer, CLS provides rigorous academic
instruction in fifteen languages that are critical to America's national security
and economic prosperity. CLS participants are citizen ambassadors, sharing American
values and promoting American influence abroad. CLS summer programs covering the equivalent
of a full year of college-level language study in critical languages, such as Arabic,
Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese,
Punjabi, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu. All academic disciplines invited to apply. Deadline: November 1, 2024 for Summer 2025
- Harry J. Truman Scholarship — Are you a junior who plans to go to graduate school? Do you want to be a "change agent," to improve
the ways that government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or educational institutions serve
the public? If so, the Harry J. Truman Scholarship may be for you! The Truman scholarship offers $30,000 towards graduate school. Scholars
also receive supplementary financial aid at leading graduate institutions, leadership
training, career and graduateschool counseling and special internship opportunities
with the federal government. Applicants must have a strong record of community service,
student government, and demonstrated leadership skills. Truman Scholars are required
to work in public service following completion of their graduate program. Applicants
must begin the application process early in order to be nominated by Chapman. Deadline: December 10, 2024
- Goldwater Scholarship — If you are a sophomore or a junior planning to pursue a research degree and career in math, natural sciences, or engineering you can apply for a Goldwater Scholarship for up to $7500 for tuition and other expenses. The Goldwater Scholarship, one of the oldest and most prestigious national scholarships in the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics in the United States, seeks to identify and support college sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming this Nation’s next generation of research leaders in these fields. Students must be pre-approved by Chapman in order to apply. Deadline: December 10, 2024
