The Political Science Department at Chapman University allows students to engage with concepts and theories central to an understanding of international relations, the practice of American politics and government, and the great and enduring ideas of political philosophy.

In this program, you will:

  • Develop quantitative and qualitative research skills
  • Enhance presentation and public speaking skills through classroom and conference participation
  • Produce research papers culminating in a senior research project designed by the student
  • Be exposed to a diverse array of perspectives across different disciplines

Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to:

  • Work in fields such as politics, government, law, media, diplomacy, business, academia, journalism, non-profit, and many others
  • Apply newly honed critical thinking skills applicable to any field
  • Be an active member of society and contribute positively to political discourse
  • Continue your studies with a graduate or professional degree
