Career Exploration and Preparation

Argyros College Career Services offers a wide range of assistance in career exploration and preparation. Students are encouraged to utilize services such as career assessments, career advising appointments, drop-in hours, employer career panels/meet & greets, interview preparation, on-campus recruiting orientations, resume and cover letter critiques, suggested career timelines, and workshops. Career Treks

Engage with employers on campus through our speaker series, industry nights, office hours, coffee chats, and information sessions. Opportunities to interact with employers at their campuses include site visits, treks, dinners/lunches for eight, and tours. These activities give students valuable insight into a variety of industries and exposure to employers in an intimate setting. Find out and RSVP to these events on Handshake.

Individual Career Coaching

Students can schedule an appointment on Handshake with a career coach to discuss professional goals, develop job search and networking strategies, prepare for interviews and facilitate career exploration or advancement. Students are also granted access to and coached on the StrengthsFinder and CareerLeader assessments to enhance self-awareness, build personal branding and articulate their best career fit.

On-campus Recruiting

Interview for internships and full-time jobs right here on-campus! We invite partner organizations to our career center to interview students for their open positions.

In order to participate in on-campus interviews you must

  1. have an approved resume on Handshake
  2. read and sign our On-Campus Recruiting Guidelines Form.   

Professional Development Program (Graduate Only)

The MBA Professional Development Program prepares students for professional success through active exploration of topics related to career assessment, personal brand development and activation, and ongoing career management. It is an integrated component of the Chapman MBA program and is offered in conjunction with the resources provided by Argyros College Career Services.

The MBA Professional Development program will empower students to be confident, competitive candidates in their professional fields of choice.

Mentor Program (Graduate Only)

The mentor program matches graduate candidates with a working professional who provides guidance and direction to the students. Through planned networking events and self-scheduled interactions between mentors and mentees, this program allows candidates to gain valuable insight into what it takes to be successful in their field of choice.
