The Attallah College of Educational Studies' Mental Wellth Project offers Mental Health
in Schools Toolkits and online resources for educators, parents, and school-age kids.
All the toolkits and worksheets were created by Chapman graduate students for K-12
students, their families, and educators in the field and are available free of charge.
Whatever difficulties students are facing, the staff of the Dean of Students office
can help navigate available resources and assure individual needs are being met through
on-campus or off-campus services. Faculty, staff or family members who have concerns
about a student’s behavior can also ask for assistance from the Student Concern Intervention Team.
Chapman’s Human Resources department has provided links to wellness resources for
staff and faculty members on this website. This includes services covered under current
health care plans as well as the 24/7 Life Assistance Program (LAP), which is available
to all staff and faculty at Chapman, regardless of coverage.
Along with providing space for religious and spiritual community, the Fish Interfaith
Center offers mindfulness and wellness programming in both in-person and online formats,
including resources, meditations, virtual faith services, tele-counseling and videos.
Chapman Hope is their new online platform dedicated to providing resources and support in times
of crisis.
The Center provides high quality and affordable mental health services to the local
community, including individuals, couples, families and children. The center also
offers free counseling to all Chapman graduate students. These services include those
suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family problems, and other
mental health issues.
P.E.E.R. (Proactive Education Encouraging Responsibility) and Health Education is
dedicated to educating students regarding subjects of sexual assault, domestic violence,
alcohol abuse, eating disorders and other general health issues. P.E.E.R. also hosts
interactive presentations and many other prevention education and awareness programs
throughout the year. Their website offers resources about a variety of health subjects.
Mental wellness and physical health go hand in hand. Staffed by professionally licensed
nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians, Student Health offers a convenient location,
no- and low-cost services with no appointments necessary, and complete confidentiality.
Services include first air, illness, health maintenance and health screenings.
Staffed with licensed mental health professionals, and a part time board-certified
psychiatrist SPHS provides expertise, acceptance, and objective guidance in dealing
with personal problems. While we work with students who may be experiencing a crisis,
our goal is to help students manage their concerns before they develop into more serious
issues.
