Biography

Gabriele Camera is Professor of Economics and Finance. His research spans several areas, including economic theory, experimental economics, industrial organization, labor economics, macroeconomics and monetary economics. His current research focuses on studying the role of institutions in supporting cooperation in society, especially in situations where decision makers may be tempted to behave opportunistically, may not trust each other, and are unable to form stable partnerships. Professor Camera’s research has been published in a variety of high-profile international academic journals, including Econometrica, the American Economic Review, the Proceedings of the National Academies of Science, and has received international media coverage.
