Goals
- The participant will gain an expanded teaching skill set to utilize in a variety of roles as an educator, including lecturer, facilitator, and preceptor.
- The participant will be able to demonstrate their expanded knowledge in a variety of instructional settings.
- The participant will be able to create a teaching portfolio containing the required examples of scholarly work.
- The participant will possess an understanding of the skills necessary to succeed in an academic setting as a faculty member in a college of pharmacy.
Participants will have an opportunity to take part in a variety of teaching workshops and utilize various teaching strategies with a focus on active learning to maximize their teaching portfolio during the program.

Requirements
Teaching Workshops: Participate in pedagogy seminars throughout the year and the APhA preceptor development program
Large Group Interactive Teaching: Develop and deliver in-class lectures to student pharmacists
Small Group Teaching: Deliver in-service presentations to the interprofessional team at the practice site
Other Interactive Teaching: Help facilitate workshops at Chapman School of Pharmacy for hands-on instruction with student pharmacists, and participate in objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) of student pharmacists
Experiential Education: Precept/co-precept and mentor IPPE and APPE students at the practice site
Teaching Portfolio: Develop, revise and complete a teaching portfolio
