Christmas at The Ritz is Women of Chapman’s premier and sole fundraising event and
has been an Orange County tradition since 1986. This glamorous and festive holiday
luncheon was previously held each December at The Ritz Restaurant in Newport Beach
until its closure. We are returning this year to Newport Beach and will still feature
the same special menu as the original venue from which our event gained its name.
A highlight of the event each year is the opportunity drawing, which has been described
by media outlets as possibly the most lavish charity raffle on the Orange Coast with
prices valued in the thousands of dollars. Opportunity prizes are generously donated
by some top OC boutiques, jewelers, and vendors, including South Coast Plaza, Lugano
Diamonds, Neiman Marcus, and many more. There will also be a live auction featuring
amazing, unique experiences and a silent auction with fabulous new prizes – perfect
for holiday shopping.
Funds raised through the 38th Annual Christmas at The Ritz will go towards Women of
Chapman's newest $1M pledge to the Student Hardship Assistance Fund. The Student Hardship
Assistance Fund, administered by Dean of Students Jerry Price, provides flexible resources
to help respond to the needs of individual students facing immediate and unexpected
financial hardship.
