Our integrated Teacher Education master’s degree programs offer an accelerated path to earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, equipping you with a teaching credential upon graduation. Chapman undergraduate students can apply while completing their bachelor’s degree and begin taking master’s coursework during their junior or senior year, allowing for a seamless transition into advanced studies.

Our Teacher Education Graduate Programs offer three distinct pathways: elementary school teaching, middle and high school teaching, and special education teaching.

Integrated Teacher Education Graduate Programs:

Bachelor’s Degree to Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with Joint Preliminary Multiple Subject (Elementary) and Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Support Needs Credential (Special Education)

Bachelor’s Degree to Master of Arts in Teaching

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education (Multiple Subject Credential)
  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (Single Subject Credential)
  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (Music Education Program Emphasis)

Bachelor’s Degree to Master of Arts in Special Education

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Special Education with Preliminary Mild/Moderate Credential
  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Special Education with Preliminary Extensive Support Needs Credential

Admission and Coursework

Chapman students have the opportunity to apply for the integrated Teacher Education graduate program while earning their undergraduate degree, which allows them to begin master's degree coursework during their junior or senior year. Students can take up to 15 credits of graduate coursework as undergraduates, significantly reducing the cost of the graduate program by up to 50%.

  • Chapman students can begin master’s degree coursework during the junior or senior year, applying up to 15 credits of graduate-level courses toward the undergraduate degree. This allows you to reduce the cost of the graduate program by up to 50%.

    Students are admitted into the Integrated Teacher Education programs on a rolling basis, with an application deadline of February 1.
