Tuition

Full-time Rate (12-18 units): $28,415
Part-time Rate (1- 11.5 units): $1,765 per unit
Overload Charge (over 18 units): $1,765 per unit
Pre-Health Post Bacc: $880 per unit
Interterm Tuition**: $1,765 per unit

**If the student is enrolled full-time in Fall and enrolled full-time in Spring, then the student can have up to 4 units at no cost during Interterm.

Student Health Insurance

Proof of health insurance will be required of all students, once in-person instruction resumes. However, proof of health insurance is required effective August 31 for the following students:

Students living in Chapman housing
Students in academic programs approved for in-person instruction
Students approved to return to campus during remote instruction for research or employment purposes

Therefore, all students must provide confirmation that they have the required medical insurance coverage, or they will be enrolled in the plan selected by the university and charged the cost of coverage.

Student health insurance can be purchased each academic year, upon request.

Health insurance coverage is required for all international students. International students are automatically billed for the student health insurance upon registration. If the student has health insurance, they can waive the cost by completing the Health Insurance Waiver online

Chapman University will not be offering Board and Commuter Meal Plans for Fall 2020.

Residence Life and First Year Experience

First year students have a two-year housing requirement. The requirement consists of students who enter Chapman University within one year of their high school graduation. Students residing in residence halls are required to have a board meal plan, which is included in the total cost below.

$2,660 per semester: 14 Weekly Meals with 300 Panther Bucks
$2,660 per semester: 19 Weekly Meals with 250 Panther Bucks

Students can change their board meal plan selection, by sending an email via their Chapman email to Residence Life or Student Business Services, through the end of the third week of each semester. Board meal plans and Panther Bucks expire every Fall and Spring semester.

Continuing Student Housing: On-Campus Apartments

Continuing students, any student not a first year student, may apply to live in Chapman apartments (board plan is not required). Some of these apartments, such as Chapman Grand and Panther Village, are not connected to the Orange Campus. However, they are still considered on-campus housing.
