The Entrepreneurship minor at Chapman provides non-Business Administration/ Accounting majors with opportunities to learn about starting a business and essential skills in innovation, strategy, and collaboration.

For students looking to be part of a startup or run their own business (in any field!), this minor complements your major with hands-on projects and valuable insights into the business side of any venture.

What you’ll learn

The minor starts with essential foundations, covering topics such as finance, marketing, and business fundamentals, and progresses into core entrepreneurial skills critical for success.

Through the minor, you will gain skills such as:

  • Strategic planning
  • Budgeting and financial management
  • Pitching and presentation skills
  • Market research and competitive analysis
  • Effective communication (both with customers and business partners)
  • Collaboration and teamwork

These skills are essential not only for launching your own business but also for becoming an innovator in any role and industry.
